We made it! This past year was most definitely the most stressful and inspiring of my life. We followed a dream and we are so proud that The Greenhouse Tavern has been so very welcomed to the Cleveland culinary scene. Here are some highlights of the year that changed our lives forever. Thank you for being a part of our restaurant in 2009. We look forward to an amazing and inspiring 2010!

I just wanted to let everyone know that my old blog (chefsawyer.blogspot.com) will now be redirected to The Greenhouse Tavern blog. I am changing the concept of my blog a bit. I will be having more writers including myself, Chef Seeholzer, our beverage director Everest Curley, and of course my super blogger wife, Amelia Zatik Sawyer. We will feature progress of The Greenhouse Tavern, upcoming events, recipes, and whatever else may be on our mind.

The Greenhouse Tavern press will also be featured in our Press section. The blog and the press will be updated frequently so make sure you check back often or add us to your reader!

I would also like to say THANK YOU for all your emails, notes, and kind words regarding our latest venture. It has been an awesome couple of years since our move back to Cleveland and I cannot wait to introduce this great city to The Greenhouse Tavern.

Hello Everyone

Chef Sawyer here. First of all, I would like to say thank you to all for the gracious support you have shown me this past year. With the birth of my daughter and the opening of Bar Cento and The Greenhouse Tavern, it has truly been an amazing year.

We leave tomorrow with The Greenhouse Tavern team to go to Paris. We have a busy month ahead of us with trips to Champagne with Henriot, Burgandy, Turin for Terra Madre, and ending the month in Vegas for the Restaurant Hospitality conference.

I am very excited to attend Terra Madre and look forward to meeting new people and engrossing myself in the conference.

Due to my travel schedule and my absence from Bar Cento we will not be hosting Cook Chefin‘ or Rock & Roll Wine Project this month.

See you in November!

Autumn Harvest Beer Dinner

Last night, Bar Cento was the place to be for an Autumn Harvest Beer Dinner. Chefs, Sawyer and Nowak, provided a feast fit for a king as they paired each dish with a complimentary beer or cider wine. As always, the family-style dinner could not have been pulled off without the help of the Bar Cento staff.
