Just another day at the tavern…

One of our goals when opening GHT was to support local farmers and buy only whole animals.  Buying whole animals ensures that we know the breed, the feed, the farmer, and the butcher, which really comes down to us getting the highest quality and most humane meat possible for you, our amazing customers!

We have been doing lamb and pig for  months now and we are finally ready to conquer beef as well.  So next time you come down to the cellar, don’t be alarmed if you see the Chef’s of GHT hovering over a cow!

We were so lucky to be invited to The South Beach Wine & Food Festival this year.  We had a brilliant time, not only working our own event at The Whole Foods Grande Tasting Village but also helping our good friend Michael Symon out in the Burger Bash (where he was named people’s choice winner!)

We had a great time and our really pleased how well our raviliolini w/ chicken gizzards & house made frommage blanc were received. Hopefully we will be back next year!

What a difference a year makes…

It has been an amazing journey and we are so proud of the entire Greenhouse Tavern team.

I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude.  We have had a very hard working team from before we were even open.  I would like to thank the following people who dedicated themselves to the tavern when it was just an idea:

On a personal note I must give my sincerest thanks to my wife Amelia Zatik Sawyer. She is an amazing woman, mother, and friend and without her support, I would be lost.  Or drunk.

We are excited to move forward and cannot wait for the fall season!  We have some great events coming up including the Epcot Food & Wine Festival and FLAVORS and we also have some exciting news about Sundays.  More to come soon!

Positively Cleveland is asking Clevelanders (in response to Mike Polk’s Hastily Made YouTube Sensation) to “enter a viral video in the “Official Positively Cleveland Hastily Made Video Contest.” The ground rules? Entrants have just 2 weeks to create a video that’s under 2 minutes in length for (you guessed it) $2 or less.”
