The Greenhouse Tavern had a great time this week at Shaker Lake’s Nature Center for the Pestival event. The concept behind the event is to get local chefs to cook the invasive species garlic mustard that you will soon see taking over the Metroparks. Chef Sawyer recently discussed the pestival event with Food & Wine after his big win of Best New Chef! The Greenhouse Tavern served a beautiful garlic mustard fritter w/ city fresh egg & goat cheese that made everyone smile, including Chef Sawyer’s children who helped serve fritters all night.
